Embark on a captivating three-day journey exploring the vibrant city of Newcastle, where each day promises thrilling adventures, cultural discoveries, and unforgettable experiences along the stunning coastline of New South Wales.

Pick up a hire care from Sydney and travel 2 hours north to Newcastle.

Once arrived, join a walking tour with Newcastle Afoot to get your bearings of the CBD and learn the history of this colourful coastal city.

Next head to nearby Darby Street for a bite to eat and browse the shops and art galleries.

Enjoy dinner on the Newcastle foreshore at a selection of restaurants. Embrace the nightlife activities with a visit to Civic Theatre for a show or grab a cocktail from a nearby boutique bar.

After a morning on the beach, jump onboard CoastXP for an adventure cruise along the Newcastle coastline (between June-Nov you will be guaranteed humpback whale sightings).

For lunch head to the nearby Signal Box.

For the afternoon, depending on preference, choose either:

• Earp Distilling Co to partake in a gin experience either make your own gin or simply take a tour.
• See Newcastle from above with a scenic helicopter tour with Aero Logistics or jumping out of a plane with Skydive Newcastle.

For Dinner, take a walk along Newcastle Harbor and select one of the restaurants to suit.

Morning surf lesson with Newcastle Surfest Surf School followed by lunch at Queens Wharf Hotel whilst looking over the Newcastle Harbour.

For the afternoon, follow Newcastle’s Bathers Way, one of the premier coastal walks in NSW, stretching 6km from Merewether Baths in the south to Nobbys Beach in the north.

Once finished, check out of your hotel and make the drive back to Sydney or continue the drive north to Port Stephens or Queensland.
