The Hunter

Racing NSW introduced the AUD1 million The Hunter over 1300m as an extension of the Sydney Spring Carnival – it is run on a stand-alone Saturday program at Newcastle.

This year The Hunter Raceday will be held on Saturday, 13 November 2021 and with Metropolitan status, boasts a minimum of AUD125,000 prizemoney per race.

The Hunter race meeting was introduced to grow the footprint of racing beyond the city limits to Newcastle.

Racing NSW is confident The Hunter race meeting provides an excellent opportunity to attract new racegoers in and around the city of Newcastle.
