Kay McFarlane Smith - Oil Painting Workshop

This day is directed towards people who wish to begin painting in oils or those who want a guided refresher.

Kay will demonstrate a painting in gradual steps during the day and participants will paint in steps. Participants will be encouraged to paint in their own style.

The aim of this workshop is to:
- achieve colour harmony in a painting by using a limited palette. Emphasis will be on how we can achieve colour variety by pushing the 3 primary colours.
- understand the importance of design in making a painting “work” regardless of genre.
