Festival Choir– Faure’s Requiem

Local singers come together to form the Newcastle Music Festival Choir. This year the Choir will perform Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem in d minor, Op. 48, composed between 1887 and 1890. Peter Guy will accompany the performance on the magnificent Christ Church Cathedral organ. David Banney’s Missa Pace (Mass for Peace – ‘Latin Mass with additional texts by Naomi Johnson’), will have its world premiere at this concert. Soloists are Esther Junker and Christopher Allan.
