Travelling Film Festival returns to Newcastle on the 22-24 June!

“We’re thrilled to bring the Festival back to Newcastle!” said Festival Manager, Karina Libbey. “With nine of the best films direct from Sydney Film Festival, from star-studded comedies to captivating dramas by awardwinning directors, the local community have plenty of brilliant films to look forward to.”

Opening the Festival is The Breaker Upperers executive produced by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows), a side-splittingly funny film in which New Zealand directors Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami star as best friends who run an unconventional business breaking up couples for cash.

Closing the Festival is American Animals, an unbelievable but true story of four college students who are determined to pull off one of the most audacious art-heists in history - an energetic, boundary-pushing thriller!
