Newcastle Tourism Industry Group

NTIG is Newcastle's peak tourism industry body and Local Tourism Association.

Newcastle needs a unified voice to approach local and state government. Our local tourism industry would like a more influential role in shaping the direction of tourism in Newcastle. The Newcastle Tourism Plan 2010 proposed to evolve the local government driven Local Tourism Association towards an industry driven group that permits greater industry participation in industry planning and development. Tourism Hunter, our Regional Tourism Organisation, is offering greater destination marketing funds - if industry can contribute in a coordinated manner, we can make this happen. We hope you will join with us to educate all businesses that tourism is everybody's business.

NTIG and the City of Newcastle's Tourism and Economic Development Team (TEDS) have worked collaboratively to develop a Co-operative Marketing Prospectus to reflect the needs of the Industry. The Prospectus is a living document that will continue to grow as NTIG and tourism in Newcastle evolve.
