Guinness World Record

The City of Newcastle would like to say a huge THANK YOU for participating in the successful Guinness Surfest ONshore logoWorld Record attempt for the Longest Line of Surfboards on Sunday 15 February at Nobbys Beach.

The previous Guinness World Record held by Port Noarlunga in Adelaide stood at 398 surfboards and we smashed that record with a total of 608 surfboards. The official confirmation has been received and the City of Newcastle now holds the record for the longest line of surfboards with 608 boards and a total length of 1,123.28 metres.

Overall, it was a great day and a fantastic way to celebrate the city, our surfing culture and the 30 years of Surfest with a Guinness World Record attempt.
