Newcastle Museum Easter School Holiday Program - 2017

Commencing Tuesday 11th of April 2017, Newcastle Museum will host a raft of children’s events including free science shows, hands-on science, lego workshops, sing alongs and dances from around the world..

Newcastle Art Gallery School Holiday Program - 2017

Fort Scratchley ANZAC Day & School Holidays ANZAC Day 2017

Come and see the 6-inch Mk VII guns fire and undertake a tour of the amazing underground tunnels. Gates open at 12.00pm with Firing of the 6" Mk VII Guns at 1pm. Gates close at 4.00pm.

Easter School Holidays

The Fort will be closed on Good Friday & Easter Sunday, otherwise it is normally open 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays) from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Be on site at 1.00pm to see the recently reinstated seafaring tradition of firing a gun to coincide with the ball drop. The event is best viewed from the parade ground at Fort Scratchley with Customs House in the background.
