Newcastle's Bakery Trail

Who doesn't love bread? And pastries? And cakes? Well, there are plenty of them to choose from in and around Newcastle.
Most of them are a little off the beaten track so you'll need to go and do some exploring to discover some of Newcastle's most delish bakery hot spots. No two places are the same with each place offering its own unique bakery, patisserie and coffee experience.

1. Williams Artisan Bread & Espresso
Here you will find a most delicious collection of freshly made sourdough in town. Baked on site it doubles as a café so plan your visit around brekky or lunch.

2. Pekana
New to Adamstown in recent months, Pekana's focus is on great coffee and amazing European pastries. The locals go crazy over these baked goodies.

3. Doughhead Donuts
Doughhead's has taken the concept of donuts and put their own extreme twist on them. Nutella, red velvet, lemon meringue, their flavours and creations have no limits! With coffee on offer too and a beautiful café space sit down and enjoy your donut experience.

4. Snows
Offering a wide range of bread, pastries and an all day breakfast, it is their mouth-watering cakes that are always hard to go past!

5. Sweet Poison
While running their café, Sweet Poison specialise in visually epic cakes that tastes ah-mazing!

6. Hello Naomi
With all cakes baked fresh to order, you will be guaranteed a delicious cake perfect for your special occasion. Cute-as-pie this little café has not just the locals in love but has fans all over the country.

7. Papa's Bagel Bar
One of the first places in Newcastle to specialise in freshly made bagels; Papa's Bagel Bar has become a lunch favourite.

8. Baked Uprising
The beautiful and sophisticated interior and décor of Baked Uprising is only the start, with freshly made bread and pastries making a name for themselves across town. Either dine in doors or enjoy the sunshine in the courtyard area.
