The Newcastle East Heritage Walk takes you on a journey past many points of interest and spectacular coastal views that will enrich your understanding of Newcastle East’s remarkable History.
The Heritage Walk leads you to view the beauty Newcastle East possesses. The sites and surroundings included in the walk are Customs House, the Convict Lumber Yard, Fort Scratchley, Newcastle Ocean Baths and Beach, Christ Church Cathedral, and several historic convict-era buildings. The Heritage Walk is a self-guided tour that follows a path about 3 kilometres in length and will take between 1 ½ and 2 hours to comfortably walk.
