Our vessel "Bay Connections 1" operates from Newcastle Harbour offering a wide range of scheduled cruises including; Newcastle Whale Watching Cruises, Newcastle Harbour Luncheon Cruises, Hunter River Discovery Cruises, and voyages to the Historic inland shipping port of Morpeth, all departing from Lee Wharf pontoon Newcastle.
NOVA Cruises also offer a range of exclusive cruises which allow groups the opportunity to enjoy their private functions on the harbour or journey up the Hunter River to Raymond Terrace or Morpeth. Directions: NOVA Cruises now utilise the new commercial vessel facilities at Lee Wharf, Newcastle. Lee Wharf Pontoon offers a safe place for boarding and disembarking the vessel in all weather conditions. There is plenty of long term parking for both cars and coaches, and it is only a short 300m stroll from Civic Station. The vessel facilities at Lee Wharf are located next to the Maritime Centre, and in front of the buildings at Number 5 Honeysuckle Drive which houses SUBWAY, Sydney Seaplanes, and Hog's Breath Cafe.
Our closest car park exists on Honeysuckle Drive opposite the NIB building. This car park is free on the weekends and $4 per day (9am - 5pm) on weekdays. Public parking is also available behind the restored railway workshop buildings which house the Newcastle Museum in a public car park which runs parallel with Civic Station. The first 200m of the car park is restricted to 2 & 4 hour parking and beyond this zone is all day parking. The parking fee varies from $2.30 to 80c per hour between the different zones and is metered 7 days.
Private carparks exist at 11 Argyle St (Secure Parking) and on the corner of Wharf Road, Argle St and Centenary Rd (Wilson Parking) . Both private carparks offer a discounted weekend flat rate (Secure $2 operating hours 7am - 7pm / Wilson $4 operating hours 24/7).
A bus zone and passenger drop off area is available outside the Maritime Centre which adjoins Lee Wharf Pontoon.

Cancellation Policy / Terms & Conditions
*If for any reason such as bad weather a cruise is cancelled NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd will offer to rebook those tickets on another cruise of the same value or provide a full refund
*Cancellations made by the customer with more than forty-eight (48) hours notice given are entitled to either a full refund less 15% administration fee or to rebook on another cruise
*Cancellations within forty-eight (48) hours of cruise departure with more than twenty-four (24) hours notice are subject to a 50% cancelation fee unless approved by NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd
*Cancellations made by the customer with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice of cruise departure are subject to a 100% cancelation fee unless approved by NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd
*Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash
*NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd - reserves the right to cancel or change this specific cruise schedule if necessary
*NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd holds the right to cancel any cruise due to insufficient bookings or weather conditions
*NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd - will not be responsible or liable for any passenger's expenses (travel accommodation) should a cruise be cancelled
*All cruises depart and return from Lee Wharf Pontoon on Honeysuckle Drive
*NOVA Cruises vessel "Bay Connections 1" is fully licensed (no BYO) All staff and crew are trained in and enforce the Responsible Service of Alcohol and our House Policy
*At the discretion of the Vessel's Master and Owner cruises may be terminated or passengers removed from vessel due to antisocial or disorderly behaviour
*The Owners and Crew of "Bay Connections 1" and "NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd" take all care but accept no responsibility for injury to persons or for loss of personal property however caused
Privacy and Security Policy
NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd does not pass on any of your information to third parties other than the relevant Australian government bodies in emergency situations. Contact information may be used in case of cruise cancellation advisories and some direct marketing information unless you choose not to receive it.
Online booking Credit Card details are taken via SecurePay Online payment system and are not stored by NOVA Cruises Pty Ltd. SecurePay is focused on meeting security standards that are industry leading and all tranactions are protected by 128bit Advanced Encryption Standard. All payments displayed on this website and payments processed via SecurePay are in Australian Dollars.
After ordering online you will receive an email confirmation from NOVA Cruises containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. NOVA Cruises is not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of a Ticket or Gift Voucher via email being blocked by filters or firewalls or where the incorrect email address has been entered by the purchaser. If the recipient does not receive the emailed Tickets or Gift Voucher please contact us immediately on 0400 381 787 or email email@example.com to arrange for tickets or gift voucher to be re-sent to an alternative email address.
Whale Sighting Policy
If we do not sight a whale during your whale watching cruise you will be entitled to a voucher for a free stand-by return whale watching cruise to be taken with NOVA Cruises
*Free stand-by return whale watching cruise must be taken during the whale migration of that calendar year (excepting the last cruise of the season)
*Stand-by vouchers not redeemed in that calendar year / whale migration period will lapse and not be valid
*Stand-by vouchers are not transferable replaceable nor redeemable for cash
*Stand-by vouchers can only be used by the original ticket holder. Photo identification is required upon issue and redemption
*Stand-by vouchers can only be used to confirm your return cruise 24 hours before departure pending availability
