Flight duration is 20-30 minutes in the air depending on conditions. We fly 7 days a week as the weather allows.

Air Sports is a hang gliding and paragliding organisation in Newcastle which focuses on safe instruction, yet thrilling introduction to this unique sport. Through tandem flights you can experience the excitement of launch, look down on our beautiful city and beaches, and savour the peaceful serenity that is only experienced by birds... and a few lucky people.
Learn to fly yourself! Plan your holiday here in Newcastle and be taught how to fly solo by some of the most experienced pilots in the world. It can take as little as a week to get yourself into the air.
Directions: We fly primarily from Strezlecki Lookout (cnr High St & Memorial Dr, The Hill) or above Merewether beach (off Hickson St, Merewether Heights) depending on the weather, and spectators are most welcome.
Once you have booked, we will call you with the meeting location and wind conditions on the day.
Special Events Hang Gliding Training Course (Solo Rating)
A 6-10 day course usually run the first week of each month.
