An exciting and safe way to meet the ocean's most awesome critters in the worlds first totally interactive aquarium. Hand feed sharks, rays & huge fish for the thrill of a lifetime. You can choose to feed from the side with the fish leaping out of the water to take your food. Or you can snorkel or walk through the water in waterproof waders with the aquarium packed with over 100 different sharks and rays.
Feel the adrenalin course through you as a 300kg stingray comes and gives you a cuddle (no joke). The Australian Shark and Ray Centre is all about hands on experiences, and its available rain, hail or shine, year round for everyone from 2 years old.

SHARK AND RAY FEEDING!
Be surrounded by the worlds coolest rays (some over 2m wide)and friendliest sharks as they gather around in large numbers looking for some tasty morsels (the fish-not you). Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity! Do it in a wetsuit or stay dry in a set of waders or stay out of the tank.
A SENSATIONAL SNORKEL: Truly the best value snorkel available. Be face to face with our cute baby port Jackson sharks, or glide over a resting 1.2m ray, this is the best way short of Scuba to meet these amazing but gentle creatures. Our smooth rays will dance with you, whilst the sharks will slowly check you out, only to see if your up for a pat.
Available for 2 years+ (2-7 year olds must be accompanied by an adult) all you need is your swimmers, a towel and big smile.

Directions: FROM NEWCASTLE/SYDNEY: Travel to Nelson Bay on Nelson Bay Rd. Go straight through roundabout with turnoff to Lemon Tree Passage. Turn left at GO_KARTS sign and we are 1km up the road on the left.
From NELSON BAY: Travel approximately 10 minutes towards Newcastle. Go straight through roundabout with turn off to Taylors Beach. 3rd street on rt is Marsh Rd. Go approximately 1km and look for Blue Gates and Australian Shark and Ray Centre sign on left. |
