Enjoy over 30 hectares of tranquil landscaped gardens, displaying the beauty and diversity of Australian native flora. In a natural bush setting, the gardens feature over 3000 living specimens with 8 kilometres of easy tracks and trails. Theme gardens including exotics, Orchid and Bromeliad Houses, and an amazing Succulent and Cacti garden.

The result of community initiative and run by volunteers, the garden also protects 140 hectares of land in the Tomago sandbeds catchment area, including two wetland habitats.

Plants are cultivated for sale. The Visitors Centre offers educational displays, outdoor eatery, gift shop (including Australiana souvenirs), a resource library and administration and information services.


Directions: 20 minutes north of Newcastle along the Pacific Highway.
